ActivityPreventer 1.2

About

ActivityPreventer tricks various programs into thinking that you are sitting in front of your computer and using it.

Since some programs (e.g. streaming clients for music) deactivate themselfes after a while, if they detect that no one is using the computer. But sometimes you want those programs to run in the background and provide you with their service (e.g. music) and not wiggle your mouse every few seconds, so these programs keep running.

Requirements

Installation

Unzip it to your favourite directory and you are all set up ;)

If you want ActivityPreventer to automatically start with your windows, just create a shortcut to the ActivityPreventer.exe file in the "Startup" folder located in your Windows startmenu.

If the program doesn't startup because it is unable to locate certain DLL-Files, you need to install the Visual C++ 2010 Runtime (s. Requirements)

Just delete the ActivityPreventer.exe file from your harddrive. ActivityPreventer doesn't save any information to config files or the registry.

Usage

Once started, ActivityPreventer will automatically start doing its trick, so other programs think you are in front of your PC. If you want to disable this behaviour temporarily, right-click on the taskbar notification icon and uncheck the menu item "Active".
